I PRESENT TO YOU, ROXANNA MATTHEWS, AUTHOR

Last night, Friday June 3rd, I made a dash from work to Main St. in downtown Milwaukie, OR. to see my friend, Roxie, at a book signing in a shop called Make One

I have written a couple blogs before about friends who have written books.  Roxie is one of those talented women.  Her book, Sanna, Sorceress Apprentice is a young adult fantasy but people of all ages have enjoyed it.  It is also first in a series!  Young Sanna attends the Thon Academy of Higher Magic and one day will become a sorceress in control of all of her powers if she quits being so strong-willed and conform.  She can knit people's injuries and repair them.  She also has magical talent in the fiber knitting art.  She has other talents that you must read the book to discover. Start with this first one and follow her adventures as she grows into a strong young lady and masterful sorceress.
Roxie herself is a master knitter and always has a project in her hands!  She can even knit while having her teeth worked on by the dentist! Now that is talent.  See the top she is wearing? She made it!

  1. I wish I could have gone to see Roxie, but I worked all day and then was so tired I could hardly think. You took some great photos of her, Rose!

  4. Thank you for this. I was thinking about it and wishing I didn't live out here on the east coast so I could come, too.

Your photos are terrific! I am a huge Sanna fan (as are my girls). I imagine Roxie was a bit like that as a girl, headstrong and smart and willful and good hearted. She's very much like that as a woman.
