THE TRUE MEANING

I was at the store today picking up a few groceries and could not help but notice all of the people hustling around buying last minute gifts.  Some were in good spirits, some a bit grumpy.  I felt a bit overwhelmed by the crowds, the hustling around, the noise...and I wondered how many share the actual reason for this celebration.
When I think about the story, in my mind one particular voice rings out with the words.  And it has always touched me.
When Charlie Brown shouted out, "Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?" Linus related the story.  Every time I get a lump in my throat and my eyes moisten up.  And I am thankful for the reminder.

God Bless us every one.

  1. So true, Rose. I received a wonderful reminder that Christmas is about the gift of caring for each other. All the rest is tinsel. Nice reminder.

  3. How often the true meaning of Christmas is lost in the frenzy of food and gifts. Thanks for reminding us of the spiritual gifts of Christmas.
