CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS and MORE

I have made needlepoint Christmas stockings for years.  I am now finishing work on one for my nephew's son as well as one for my dear friend's future daughter-in-law.  I will not display those here but am showing some of my past works!  I used to make them and sell for $25 each. Takes awhile. I draw up the patterns onto blank needlepoint canvas and set to work!

I have also made a needlepoint fan...

a needlepoint silhouette of birds against a sunset....

needlepoint cat doorstoppers...

filet crochet runner...

needlepoint hummingbird on hibiscus and needlepoint round box...

a variety of items that won at a state fair...

needlepoint farm with sunset...

crewel embroidery kitty...

and needlepoint quilt blocks...

and even an attempt to paint one of my cats portraits on a wood bench!

I have always enjoyed being creative!!

  1. $25 each? You could do better sewing soccer ball in Bangladesh! Your work is beautiful, and your time is valuable. You DO undervalue yourself, my dear! Your creativity and artistry are amazing.

  6. Your work is lovely. I must apologize for not having been around for a while. With computer glitches and all my access has been limited. Hope you are well and I always love your comments on my blog.

  8. Amazing work Rose! I can see why you won ribbons. I have never done needlepoint, but I know the hours you have spent making these.

  10. Wow, nice work Rose! I've done needlepoint in the past but I was sooooooooooooo slow at it. LOL Love the stockings most of all, well worth the $25 you are charging. These could become family heirlooms.

  11. I think the quilt blocks are your masterpieces. The symmetry of the patterns is hypnotic!
