TRANS SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA

Nov. 24th my dear friend, Joan, took me to hear the Trans Siberian Orchestra at the Rose Garden in Portland, OR. I had never heard of the group before. I am so glad she took me as it was wonderful! They play music, sing, and do a fantastic light show. Look them up on-line and listen to them!  The woman who plays the electric violin was amazing!  I had not thought we could take cameras, but Joan took hers and she took photographs.  Here are some she took that I edited to show you.

  1. Oh Yeah. Love this group. Have their CD's. One of my daughter's gifted me with a concert event a few years ago. Awesome. Glad you're a fan too. :D

  6. We went to see them once, but the decibel level and the strobe lights triggered a migraine for me and we had to leave. I DO enjoy their tunes, though. So glad you had a good time!!

  7. I bought one of their CDs and when I listened I knew I'd made a mistake. I told Dave it sounded like Mannheim Steamroller on steroids! I'm glad you liked it and I think I'll give another listen to the CD maybe my impression was incorrect. I'm open to rethinking my choices. 😉

  13. Rose, thanks for visiting and your sweet comment! Lucky you to see this group perform! My husband would LOVE to see them and we almost had a chance a couple of years ago but they cancelled their performance (in Ottawa, Ontario). :( Actually, our church's band as done 2 of their Christmas songs at our music night and are planning to do another one tomorrow night unless we have to cancel due to a blizzard!!! We have 3 very talented guitarists that can do all that fancy stuff with their fingers going 100 miles per hour. They are amazing. Some day we'll get to see them too. Great pictures!
