MY NEW DINING CHAIRS (NEW TO ME!)

My old dining chairs are too dark and too rickety and damaged after 30 years, so the other day I decided to seek replacements on Craigslist.  Lo and behold, I actually found a set of 6 chairs for $150!!  Amazing!  I immediately emailed the seller (only contact listed) and told him I wanted the chairs if they had not sold. Lucky me, they had not. And he brought them to me! Here they are.

Aren't they pretty!!!  Now I just have to decided whether to sell my old dark oak table or have it refinished to be lighter like the chairs.  For now, a tablecloth will do!
Oh, and I am much better after a 2 week flu and going to work tomorrow!

  9. That's a lovely piece of carpentry for 25 bucks. I'd probably want to put a little cushion on it before sitting down, though. :) Very glad to hear you've beaten the flu bug.

  12. Hi Rose, this is my first visit to your lovely blog! I love your chairs with the beautiful carvings and how lucky to find a whole set. I scrolled down to see your previous posts and love the new paint colors you have chosen. It is hard to choose paint from those tiny swatches. I have had to repaint whole walls after hating the results! I do think you have chosen the right colors and they are so pretty. Thank you for your sweet visit. New follower :) xo Karen
