2018 AUTO SHOW

On Friday, January 26th, I took a friend to the auto show at the Portland Convention Center for a surprise for his birthday, though not really a surprise since he had to drive!  Now it seems the parking lot there was filled and we were told to "drive around for about 45 minutes" by the parking attendant!
OH NO!  Luckily we spotted a sign saying there was public parking at one little garage across the street and were very lucky that someone pulled out right when we were going to leave because it was full!  Inside were all of the cars men dream about, and maybe some women!
Randy found his dream car, the 2018 Corvette Grand Sport.
Of course you can have it for your birthday...NOT!
This Land Rover Discovery isn't too bad!
The Discovery is my color!!
What happens when I push this button? I would have to take a class on all of the buttons and switches  before I could drive one!
It even tells you how to get back to earth!!!  The Hyundai Genesis G90 was the one I liked!
This one is for fun!
Nah, red attracts police.
A BMW.
NICE!!!!!  Oldie but a goodie!
I think Randy would take this one, too!
What? My present isn't a new car????
We had a great time and saw sooooo many cars, even a few motorcycles.
Spent about 6 hours and never saw it all!
We were even very impressed by the Hybrids!
They had buys there to polish off the finger prints each person left behind. What a job!

  1. Oh, looks like fun! Love the Land Rover - I think the color is perfect for you, Rose! Ah, we can dream, can't we? The Hyundai Genesis is really nice.....I've never seen one of those. I guess I'll have to be happy with my 2005 Ford Ranger, though :) xx Karen

    1. It was fun to sit in each vehicle! The Genesis was very nice and compared to many in the same caliber, half the price!!

  2. I sent Greg to the car show with a buddy of his, then checked the garage when he came home to make sure he hadn't brought any new cars home. It looks like that Land Rover fits you Rose. Glad you had a great time.

  6. Such a fun post Rose. Randy looks very pleased and you are just too cute!! I have heard that red attracts police, but I often have a red car. In fact, own one right now. I have not had a ticket for years, but I be careful to usually only go 5 over the speed limit. :)

    1. I have heard that red and bright yellow vehicles do draw the attention of police! They do stand out. I have never had a ticket and never caused an accident! Lucky, I guess!

  9. Oh My Rose,
My hubby would have loved to have gone to the Portland Car Show. Is it a yearly event? I must try to take him there. Your friend is a lucky guy. I will take the 2018 red corvette please! lol. The doily you asked about is not sewn on my chairs. Unfortunately the chairs have some stains so I wanted to cover them up for my pics. Lol. Blessings, Karen

    1. I am told it is a yearly event. Finding parking is not easy as the centers garage filled up! But we did find another place that cost $10 for 3 hrs. I think the doilies were cute on the seats, even if not permanent!
