PICNIC AND SCHREINER'S IRIS GARDENS MAY 29TH

I packed a picnic lunch and Randy and I headed off to Willamette Mission State Park.  It was a lovely drive there that I would never be able to use again on my own! I am horrible at that.  The park is so lovely and it was practically empty except for an occasional dog walker.  We had a lovely picnic listening to the birds, chatting and watching for a cougar.  Apparently one had been seen there and there were warning signs posted!  Luckily we had no encounters.  Afterwards Randy suggested going to the nearby Schreiner's Iris Gardens, which I was eager to see.  We were both impressed and we were lucky that there were hardly any other visitors.  Both of us eagerly snapped photos. Here are some of the results.
They have more than irises in the gardens, but irises are predominant.
At one point we came across a friendly bear relaxing on a bench, so we took time to pose!
It was a fun day!
