BIRD WATCHING IN ISOLATION

Being in isolation has left Randy and I doing a bit of bird watching. Outside the bay window we have a seed feeder, a suet feeder, and a hummingbird feeder.  Never knew birds could be so entertaining!
Here are some of the photographs I took.
These little bush tits love to sit on the edge of the window and peck on it so we have dubbed the "the peckers." The male has the dark eyes and the female has golden eyes with dark center.
The downy woodpecker seems to love the suet. I never knew they ate anything but bugs.
A scrub jay has visited a couple times.
Hummingbird has an onlooker in the background.
We have a couple male finches who also visit often.
We have also had a visiting flicker but he is so elusive and I have not been able to get a photo.
I will...eventually.

  9. Rose, L♥VE all the birdwatching shots you've captured! I have yet to see a hummer in my region (7a), but I bet they're here. We spend time taking long walks, followed up by a nice drive. It's so nice seeing the changes from day to day with the trees going from blossoms to leafing out, especially on the hillsides. I'm cooking more, and enjoying it. Take care, thanks for visiting!
