BLOOD MOON AND MOON ECLIPSE NIGHT

The night of the blood moon & its eclipse I took my camera outside to attempt to catch shots between clouds drifting in the night sky. Most of my shots were blurred, but I did get 2 shots! This first one was the eclipse and you can see I caught one part of it when the clouds parted!
The shot attempting to get the blood moon did not show a red moon but rather a circle around it.  Then the clouds forever blocked my view! I tried. But I do like the hazy orange-ish ring around it.

  1. Is the second picture really the total eclipse, Rose? The moon looks very bright!

  3. I was out the back on my patio waiting for the 2 hour window of opportunity, the clouds came over for the entire time! And, I had spent half an hour with this complicated point and shoot of mine getting what I believed to be the right settings for the event. :( missed the whole thing!
    Well done, great capture!

  4. It's not easy to get moon shots. I like the aura around the moon.

While I was scrolling down, I noticed the vibrant pretty tulips......one of my favorite flowers. We have many similar interests - photography, poetry, reading, crafting. It's nice to meet you, and I hope you visit us again soon.

  10. Did you know that when there is a ring around the moon, the fairies gather and have a Gala Ball? It is true! Dana
