On April 10th my friend, Sue, and I went to the Tulip Festival in Woodburn. I had never been before so this was a first for me, and, of course, I had my camera! There were lots and lots of tulips filling the fields
With the sunshine as a backdrop, it made many glow and look almost translucent.
The colors are brilliant and beautiful. I loved how the shadows created designs within flowers.
The interior of each has interesting designs.
Here is a view of part of the fields with snowy white Mt. Hood in the background.
There were so many varieties and such a variety of colors.
I played with this one and made it look like a water color!!
This is what spring looks like! A lady dressed in vibrant colors!
This is just a sprinkling of the photographs I took.
I am still editing and sorting through the almost 400 photos I took! I may do another post of these lovelies later on! Spring is here!
Oh Rose, please do some more sorting and more posts on these. What a visual overload of utter delight!! That particular photo with the snow covered mountain as the backdrop was just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThere were stunning tulip farms and festivals in Tasmania and during all the years I was down there I never got to see one! so this is extra special for me to look at. Just lovely Rose!
I am happy to hear you enjoyed it! I will post more.
DeleteI don't often get dazzled by different colours when I read a blog! I'm surprised there aren't any pollinating insects in these pictures. Is it too early in the season for them?
ReplyDeleteWhat a delight! I especially love the one with Mt.Hood in the background. Gloriously springy!
ReplyDeleteIt is so surreal to see the colorful flowers and Mt. Hood covered in snow in one shot!!
DeleteLove the one with Mt Hood in the background. You really captured Oregon in its spring beauty. Moma
ReplyDeleteSnow and tulips in one shot!

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your pictures. They are terrific.
I am hoping some people will want to buy copies of some images or even cards with them.
