I am grounded to my home for the next several days, doctor's orders. I was in the Emergency Room yesterday (May 4th) from noon to 5 pm. I was having extreme pain in my right hip, lower back, right knee and leg. After seeing my doctor at 11:30 am, she sent me directly to the ER.
After examination and x-rays, the ER doctor told me that I have sciatica of the right hip which is causing spasms down the leg. That is why my leg and knee and lower back hurt.
This condition is very, very painful!
He gave me prescriptions of pain medications and a muscle relaxer. I was told no work this week and NO driving, which is understandable. The medication knocks me out so I will be sleeping quite a bit. I do hope it helps this sciatica and the pain goes away!
Any prayers for healing would be so greatly appreciated!
Aw, Rose! Feel better soon-it is at least good to have a diagnosis!

ReplyDeleteOh phooboo. Back pain is the worst. You can't do anything. Except lay around. And even that is painful. Take care. Barb

Rose, I am so sorry to hear of your situation. That kind of pain is dreadful but I am hopeful that medication and rest will soon cure it. Prayers going your way. Alice
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you finally made it to a doctor and got a diagnosis, though you'd already figured out that part yourself. :) I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Rose,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear you're in pain and not feeling well. I Wii definitely pray for you.
Much love,
Betsy
So sorry to hear of your sciatica. Hope rest gets you on the path to recovery. Live, Love, Laugh, Sharon
ReplyDeleteDang, Rose. This is not good. Take care. Do you need anything? Lunch? Beth
ReplyDeleteI just read your blog about your trip to ER, etc. I will add you to my prayer basket tonight. Let us pray now -- Father God, surround Rose with healing purple light and ease the pain that she is experiencing. You always hear our prayers, and we are never alone. Amen. Blessings and Good Night, I will check with you in a few days to see how you are feeling. Marilyn T
ReplyDeletePlease, dear one, do exactly as the doctor said. Sciatica is one thing our family has a long history with, and if there were anything I could say to relieve your pain it would be to not stay in any one position too long during your waking hours. Keep warm, and if it gets a little humid/damp then wrap a sweater around your backside and tie the arms in front while you're on your feet. Start out s-l-o-w when first beginning to move to do anything...sort of like 'testing the waters', so to speak. Just be easy with yourself and patient with the Powers That Be, whatever you believe them to be,...;) Here, this may help too --
ReplyDeleteGrant us the Serenity to accept the things we cannot change;
The Courage to change the things we can;
And the Wisdom to know the difference.
Amen

ReplyDeletePraying that this will be resolved quickly. I have had sciatica and know how debilitating it can be.Rest and ice together with the meds. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope it clears soon, Rose, and the pain lessens. xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteRose, I am so sorry for our sciatica. I've had it too and what made me better was a course of prednisone. Praying for your recovery.
ReplyDeleteRose I feel for you for I know how that pain can be debilitating and can keep you off work a great deal of time. I highly recommend Dr Bowles. He is at 1136 Mollal ave. He has a decompression table that works wonders. It kept me from having neck surgery if you remember. His number is 5036503737. Tell him Sherri Weinz sent you. He will help I promise. High hopes and prayers. Thank you for the wonderful letter too. Miss you
ReplyDeleteRose be careful with this, I'm so sorry that this is happening to you, and will keep you in my prayers. I can totally sympathize, since I am recovering from 7 months of debilitating pain from a herniated disk, and the subsequent operation to fix it. That sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the body and when you tweak it the wrong way you pay for ages afterwards.Ouch, big big ouch.

So sorry to hear this! Hope the rest and meds make you feel better.
ReplyDeleteRose I'm praying that God will heal you completely! Also you may want to look into essential oils for your condition once you finish all meds so that it won't flare back up. Take care. Diane
