I woke this morning, fed the cats and then opened the window to look upon the day. Yesterday was sunny, clear and bright, but this is what I saw when I (and my cat Mooshoo) looked out the window!
In the second photo you can see the home across the street behind the truck that is painted the same color as my place. She came and got the color from me as she loved mine. The snow was such a surprise! I was expecting another sunny and clear day! Obviously I didn't watch the weather report.
I took a few photos around the yard. The first shows my mat with snow, making great pattern!
The metal yard decorations were made by my best friend, Sue, in a class she took!
The bench was made by a carpenter friend, Alex S.
Now I am hoping it does not snow anymore so I may go to work tomorrow!
It doesn't look too bad Rose, just a dusting. Enough to remind us that it's winter :). I should talk...I high-tailed it outta dodge lol.
ReplyDeleteI finally got a decent internet connection while away, and wanted to stop by and say hi and wish you all the best for the coming year!

Just enough snow to make things look pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe steel kitty looks chilly! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's why I live in So. Cal., so I don't wake up surprised by snow. Of course it did happen one time in the more than 21 years we've lived here, and that was a surprise! We're going to get rain all week, though, which we can't complain about.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fun snow day!

I got the "cold" without the snow. Joseph
ReplyDeleteI was shocked to see snow this morning too. (clearly, I didn't watch the weather either.)
ReplyDeleteI would love to wake up to snow every once in awhile, but we don't get it here by the beach in CA. Love the pattern of your matt!
ReplyDeleteHi Rose,
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty snow pictures. We got a little here in B.C./Washington too. Snow looks so peaceful and clean. Happy New Year Dear Rose! Blessings, Karen
Well my friend, that is just a dusting to me. My favorite kind of snow. Makes the world look magical! Love all of your yard art from your friend and the bench. Hope you got to go back to work. People here would laugh if that caused people to stay home from work. I realize that places that don't get snow often don't have clean up crews like we do.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
So pretty. I love the unicorn and the cat and the imprint left by the mat. Stay warm. It's cold here, and I'm enjoying it. When my daughter was 3 or 4 , it snowed in the desert enough for her to touch it with her cousin. xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so fanciful in snow! You got some wonderful shots. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHi Rose and Happy New Year. Your snowy pics are beautiful. Nothing prettier then fresh snow. Have a great weekend. Blessing.

Snow! We love our Southern snows. Here today and shorts tomorrow. Your yard looks lovely with the snow gently covering the garden art.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks pretty in snow!
