My total knee replacement surgery took place on July 20th. I was moved into a rehab center July 23rd about 2:30 pm. Being here has not been the greatest experience. Lots of miscommunication, horrible food, delays in pain meds., slow response (up to one hour) after pressing button for help, and more.  Do not want to go into details, but friends witnessed some problems and were shocked. I was in tears off and on.  The head of the place was finally notified and she came to interview me and help me.
It is so depressing to be laid up for so long, especially since I was laid up for 58 days prior to the surgery and already weakened. I am so used to being active and on the go. Been trying to let go and let God. I am trying to take it one hour at a time more than one day at a time.
Still accepting prayers on my behalf.  Worst is that I had to spend my 64th birthday here.

  1. Awwww,I am so sorry that you are not being treated well.I do hope that things will improve.

  2. I pray that your rehab and therapy will soon be a thing of the past and that you will be up and about doing things you enjoy.

Rest in Jesus' tender love and care.

  3. Hang in. You can mark another day off the calendar this morning.

  4. Please be planning something very special to do when they let you out. You are still in my prayers for healing. Happy belated birthday.

  5. I hope it all goes better with the recovery and I am so sorry you having to go through all that! sending hugs your way!

  6. I hope you will get better soon ♥ Happy Belated Birthday♥♥

  7. Dear Rose, I am so sorry to hear this!! I hope things are looking more positive now. Sorry I missed your birthday. I have been so busy with my grandsons wedding and then planning a reunion for last Sat. that I have not hardly been on my laptop. Are you able to receive mail, or is someone gathering it from your home and bringing it to you? I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

  8. Rose, I am so sorry about your situation. It sounds horrible. I hope it is getting better. I hope your friends will come and celebrate your birthday with you! Let me know if you need something that I can bring you. I am not that far my friend. I would gladly bring you something. Prayers will be going out for you.

  9. Hello,
I was looking at pictures of butterfly benches and came across your blog.
I am sorry you are having such a hard time with your recovery. I will add you to my prayers.
    Happy belated birthday.

  10. So sorry, Rose, I hope your time in re-hab goes quickly for you. Healing is slow but steady work and I hope that all goes smoothly now that you have been able to tell someone. So hard to spend your birthday there, too. Wishing you a belated Happy Birthday and sending prayers and healing thoughts. xx Karen
