  1. Yup. This is why we've got to stop the proposed oil terminal and transport of coal through Oregon's Columbia River Gorge, to be shipped to China. That stuff has to stay in the ground. Check out Rising Tide (http://portlandrisingtide.org/), Greenpeace PNW (https://www.facebook.com/groups/155200091351443/), 350 org (http://www.350pdx.org/). Support them however you can.

  4. I've believed this for years and mourned what's been happening. It's hard not to feel helpless, but we must do whatever we can.

  6. Sending Coal to China is not the main problem here. The largest producer of greenhouses gasses in the world is the USA. If you're serious about this issue, you've got to take the lead by changing to a more energy efficient lifestyle.

  7. Yeah, it seems we're all headed for some tough climate times. There is a possible good thing to this situation, fighting climate change could be the issue that forces humanity to grow up.

  8. Thank you for sharing this, Rose. I suppose it's about time that something big enough happened to start waking the world up. We've been warned about this for the last decade and done little. I can only pray now that we as a civilization are able to pull ourselves together and fix the problem before it gets any worse.
