My old dining chairs are too dark and too rickety and damaged after 30 years, so the other day I decided to seek replacements on Craigslist. Lo and behold, I actually found a set of 6 chairs for $150!! Amazing! I immediately emailed the seller (only contact listed) and told him I wanted the chairs if they had not sold. Lucky me, they had not. And he brought them to me! Here they are.
Aren't they pretty!!! Now I just have to decided whether to sell my old dark oak table or have it refinished to be lighter like the chairs. For now, a tablecloth will do!
Oh, and I am much better after a 2 week flu and going to work tomorrow!

That's a lovely piece of carpentry for 25 bucks. I'd probably want to put a little cushion on it before sitting down, though. :) Very glad to hear you've beaten the flu bug.
ReplyDeleteLove the chairs Rose! The design is so unique. Looks kind of like wheat. So sorry to hear that you have had the flu. I know that a lot of people have really had a bad bout with it. Glad you are feeling better.

ReplyDeleteHi Rose, this is my first visit to your lovely blog! I love your chairs with the beautiful carvings and how lucky to find a whole set. I scrolled down to see your previous posts and love the new paint colors you have chosen. It is hard to choose paint from those tiny swatches. I have had to repaint whole walls after hating the results! I do think you have chosen the right colors and they are so pretty. Thank you for your sweet visit. New follower :) xo Karen
