MARCH AIR MUSEUM AT MARCH AIR FORCE BASE IN CALIFORNIA

Randy and I were in California for a few days to go to my nephews wedding and to visit relatives.  We also took a couple days to have some fun. Randy has a pilots license and loves planes so I knew he would enjoy this museum. I had been there many time growing up and it has changed a lot!  Here I share the photographs I took while we were there April 6th.

They have a courtyard before you enter the museum building where they have war memorials.

Inside the museum they have displays of various planes, uniforms, and history.
They have a large display out on the field of planes. Randy loved exploring.
Randy said he learned to fly in this model of a plane! That's him looking at it and reminiscing.
Randy enjoyed the planes. Here he looks at a few.
THIS PLANE DID A FLY BY WHILE WE WERE EXPLORING.

I hope you enjoyed the visit.
I will post more about the rest of our trip in my next post.

  5. What an interesting museum. If I had joined the armed service it would have been the Air Force. I have always had a passion for flying; probably because my dad had an airplane when I was a young child. It was a CeeBee, one of the first that could land on water. Ask Randy if he knows anything about them. My dad's plane came to an end when he was landing on a lake in Texas and he hit a sunken log. He survived but the plane didn't. Mary D.

  6. I've been to a few flight museums. Not that one...
The one in Tillamook and McMinnville and Cincinnati...I think. Ha. Fascinating. The Wright Brothers got it right! If Randy hasn't read THE WRIGHT BROTHERS he might want to. They had great attitudes and stick-to-itiveness! (?)
And I always enjoy your photos, Rose. Ruth Reno
