On Saturday, October 28th, I needed to escape so took off to see natural beauty and relish fall color.
I drove around for a while up and down and through several areas and somehow ended up at Milo McIver State Park. I did a bit of hiking, snapping photos and thinking. Needed time to think.
Here are photos from my exploration.
Mt. Hood
I was surprised to see this little guy!
It was a good day to breath clean air, feel mossy trees, and see colorful trees.
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteRose you have captured nature at it's best. I am crushing over all your pictures. I had to smile at the caterpillar. I actually had a caterpillar like this when I was a kid and I remember how excited I was when it turned into a Monarch butterfly. That picture brought back some sweet memories for me. Happy Tuesday.

Beautiful colors and places; I needed that this dark and gloomy morning that seems more like night than day. It also brought me back to one of my favorite hiking places...thank you. Alice

DeleteHas this been a beautiful season, or what? I cannot remember a more beautiful time of colors. Could almost inspire a poem or two. Thanks for sharing, Rose. Love, Carl

Deletethank you!
So peaceful, and wonderful places to think. Lynnette
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And I laughed to see the little bird in the water. I think it is a water ouzel. Does anyone know for sure? Linda
ReplyDeleteUnbelievably beautiful scenes. A day spent in beauty like that has to refresh both body and soul.
ReplyDeleteAll so beautiful. I especially loved the little water ouzel and the woolly bear caterpillar. Beth
ReplyDeleteI think the Woolly Bear caterpillar grows into an Isabela Tiger Moth. The Monarch caterpillars are multi striped and not furry.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I was thinking the Monarchs were more slick.
DeleteBeautiful as usual, Rose. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful walk, Rose! Getting outside in nature always works to clear the head! Love the little bird and gorgeous Mt. Hood. Sending hugs xo Karen
