YELLOWSTONE/GRAND TETONS TRIP--PART 3

In Yellowstone canyon we could see three waterfalls.in the Yellowstone Grand Canyon area.
In one area we came across a swan hanging with a Canada goose.
These terraces were wonderful! But they have a sulfur smell!
The scenery can be breathtaking.
We headed to the Grand Tetons to see these majestic mountains.
The Continental divide is there!
We got great views first at the Jackson Lake dam.
We even got a couple more selfies!
In Grand Tetons we saw the historic Cunningham's cabin.
There were many prairie dogs around the cabin area.
The Cunningham Cabin stands as one of the valley’s few remaining structures from the homesteading era when settlers filed nearly 400 claims in Jackson Hole. In the 1880s, John and Margaret Cunningham staked a claim for the Bar Flying U Ranch. Cunningham built his cabin in 1888 in the Appalachian style, commonly called “double-pen” or “dog-trot.” John lived in the cabin until 1895 when he finished his main residence, and it later became a smithy and barn.
There were huge ravens throughout the areas of the two parks.
This one said hello!
We had a wonderful trip and saw so much.
Enjoy the photographs!

  1. What amazing photos. I’m thankful to see them. The cabin will never last as long as the amazing beauty you photographed, but it’s still awesome that it’s been there almost 136 years. Thanks for sharing your trip.
